As the Chronic Health Coach I work with anyone who identifies as living with a chronic health condition. So…
What is a Chronic Health Condition?
A chronic health condition is any medical or health condition that lasts 6 months or more. Chronic does not reflect the severity of the condition – your chronic health condition may be very distressing and limit your life significantly, or it may impact you in more subtle ways. Chronic only refers to the length of time the condition has, and likely will, impact your life.
Chronic Health Examples
Chronic health conditions could include, but are certainly not limited to:
- Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME
- Endometriosis
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- COPD
- Spinal Damage aand Degeneration
- Asthma
- Cystic Fibrosis
- PCOS
- Migraine
- Epilepsy
- Arthritis
- IBS
- IBD
- Crohn’s Disease
- Ulcersative Colitis
- Long Covid
- Mental Health Conditions
- Neurodivergence
- Limb Differences
Self-Determination
You are the only person who can decide if you are living with a chronic health condition. A diagnosis from a doctor is not a requirement to work with me, and I do work with clients to fight for a diagnosis they believe they need. It is also true that a diagnosis is recieved differently by different people, and not everyone who lives with a long-term illness, such as Asthma, would call themselves chronically ill.
